An international, peer reviewed, open access journal focusing on molecular, biochemical and immunological aspects of intra- and intercellular signal transduction mechanisms. These pathways impact fundamental biological processes including gene reprogramming, cell growth, differentiation, motility, fate outcomes and disease progression. Recognizing that in each of these, cellular communication networks are drivers for both tissue repair mechanisms and disease progression, the journal is particularly interested in the neoplastic microenvironment and host-tumor interactions, 3D models of complex biological systems, cross-talk between stromal elements and epithelial tissues, stem cell communication with target niches, signaling in organotypic models and bioengineered tissues, injury and regeneration, and the systems biology of growth factor-target cell intractions.
