The deputy editor in chief provides support to the editor in chief on editorial decision-making, and is responsible for editorial-decisions when the editor in chief is unavailable or has declared a conflict of interest.
Xuesong Zhang, PhD, MD
Dr Xuesong Zhang is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at New York University School of Medicine. He completed his PhD in Microbiology from The City University of New York in 2006, and completed postdoctoral training in Texas A&M University and New York University School of Medicine.
Dr Zhang’s research interests include molecular mechanism of Helicobacter pylori persistence, pathogenicity, and carcinogenesis in human upper gastrointestinal tract and human gastrointestinal tract microbiota roles in early life development.
