Contemporary studies on evolution thrive on algorithms developed by interdisciplinary studies between biology, mathematics, statistics, and computer science. Various evolution research challenges drive the development of new algorithms.

We seek papers about tangible algorithms that deal with the challenges. Algorithms of interest must be applicable to evolution or evolution-related studies in terms of:

  • quantification
  • parallel computation
  • data visualization
  • computer simulation
  • statistical modeling
  • machine learning
  • big data management
  • sequence analysis

We hope that this special collection helps our audiences find answers to questions on the evolution as well as evolution-related agricultural and human health issues.
