Assessment of Applications
Applications are assessed on the basis of the CV supplied. The applicant must have fluent English and hold a PhD or MD. The applicant must hold a current research/teaching position that he/she has held for at least 12 months relevant to the journal(s) selected. Applications must demonstrate prior experience as a peer reviewer and author in the same area as the journal(s) selected. Where these criteria are not met or the CV is unclear or incomplete the application will be declined.
All applications are subject to assessment by each journal's editorial decision-maker (the editor in chief or associate editor), who may apply additional criteria at his or her discretion. Successful applicants are eligible to download a testimonial letter following completion of their first review, and will also be eligible for article processing fee discounts.
Acceptance of your application is no guarantee that your peer review reports will be used by the journal's Editor in Chief or Associate Editor. Reviewers must comply with all peer review guidelines available on this website. Guidelines are subject to change. Failure to comply with guidelines will result in permanent disqualification by the journal's Editor in Chief or Associate Editor.
My experience publishing in Perspectives in Medicinal Chemistry was very positive. The submission process was very quick and easy. I was extremely impressed by the efficiency of the editorial staff and reviewers.
